Cogen Power Technologies would like to congratulate Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center on their award from the U.S. Green Business Council 2018 Climate Champion award! We have had the pleasure of working with PSH staff and our partners to develop the 8 MW Combined Heat and Power Plant to promote energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions for the hospital.
CPT joined the project team during the development stage and conducted various energy assessments to determine the optimal environmental plant for the hospital. The 8 MW plant will be able to supply the hospital with approximately 60% of the hospital’s electricity and almost all of their steam annually. By generating energy on site, the campus will reduce emissions by 46,000 tons; equivalent to taking 7,551 cars off the road annually.
CPT was honored to attend the Forever Green awards with members of the PSH project team in early November. We look forward to continuing working with PSH to help them meet their energy goals.
