John Moynihan – Managing Partner

Growing up in Saratoga Springs, John developed an interest in math and science early on and it was a natural progression for him to follow in his father’s footsteps to a career in Electrical Engineering. John graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology and went on to get his Master’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

John worked for 16 years for a prime contractor procuring, installing, and troubleshooting power systems for the Navy. He applied this experience as the guiding force behind the development of Cogen Power Technologies and our system for project delivery. One of the keys to John’s success is that he is motivated by a relentless sense of personal responsibility that each and every project is delivered to the customer’s satisfaction.

Building trust and long-term friendly relationships with our clientele has been one of the joys of his leading this specialized energy firm. When he’s not travelling the world with his wife, Michele, John has a fishing pole in his hand and can be found on a boat or on a frozen lake somewhere in the Adirondacks.
